Is this a photo of Beetles watching Herbie the Love Bug at the drive-in in 1967?

This screening for Volkswagen Beetles was staged in 1969 in Las Vegas in conjunction with the release of Disney’s The Love Bug movie.

The caption used with this photograph is inaccurate and fails to mention it was staged.
