This flash of light was a meteor according to several experts. But speculations about an UFO started to circulate quickly.
What happened next: a Las Vegas family called 911 claiming to have seen a UFO crash. They claimed to see aliens in their backyard. There are no videos or photographs of the alleged UFO crash or aliens. Here’s one news clip about the events.
On June 9 and 10, a lot of videos about alleged alien sighting started to circulate on TikTok, Twitter and other social media platforms. In the video, you can see a creature near a fence. The 911 call mentioned earlier is also part of the video suggesting they are related.

This video was originally created by “owlTreeStump” on TikTok. The post clearly indicates the video is CGI creation made with Blender. However, other people made copies of the video and started sharing it as real. These copies went viral.
A simple case of meteor sighting can quickly turn into UFO crash when people and media jump into conclusions. And the CGI alien video was taken out of context and went viral.
